They got angry with the landlord. so,they wanted their money back from the landlords, at this point Gandhi arrived in Champaram to solve the problem of the sharecroppers. He investigated many places about the injustice of the British landlord’s system with the poor indians. He was ordered to leave tiehut. But he did not obey the order. As a result, he was summoned to appear in count the next day.

       In the count Gandhi agreed to a settlement of 25% refund to the farmer because Gandhi explained that the amount of the refund was less importent than the fact that the British landlords had been obliged to surrender part of the money and with it pant of their prestige.

Thus, sivit disobedience had tiruphed the first time in modern India.
